The Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition and Bassoon Symposium is a three-day event dedicated to bassoon master classes, presentations, performances and the live semi-final and final rounds of a competition for young womxn bassoonists from the Americas. This client was in search of a partner to develop a visual identity, re-designed logo and designed collateral to support the event.

Execution

We worked with the Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition and Bassoon Symposium board to develop a visual identity that represented the strong, talented female bassoonists who would compete in the annual event. For the logo, we leaned in on the namesake of the event, Meg Quigley, and incorporated the shape of the bocal, the bassoon’s mouthpiece. To reach a successful visual identity and logo, there were hours of extensive research, concepting and sketching prior to executing any digital design. It’s those moments in the creative process that led us to a final product as intentional as this! ⁣This annual event lovingly dubbed “Quigley” is more than just the 3 days each year where bassoonists gather from around the United States. It is a community dedicated to educating and empowering young musicians. ⁣⁣The visual identity was built to reflect this strong, professional and artistic community.
